Lotus Professional completes its touchless hand hygiene offer with the launch of two new enMotion hand hygiene products.  

Lotus Professional’s popular range of enMotion® hand towels and their touchless dispenser technology were already a valuable contribution to avoiding cross-contamination at the outbreak of swine flu. With the launch of enMotion Antibacterial Foam Soap and enMotion Foam Hand Sanitizer, the EMEA Away-From-Home Hygiene Category team is now offering even more advanced hand hygiene.  

Both products come with touchless dispensers and have proven efficacy against many bacteria, viruses and fungi, including H1N1 (swine flu), MRSA and hepatitis.  They are also very gentle on the skin, leaving the hands feeling soft, smooth and healthy.  “As hygiene experts, Lotus Professional is promoting uncompromised hand hygiene. Both the soap and the hand sanitizer are very competitive in terms of anti-bacterial formulas,” explains Verena Ristau, Category Manager Hand Hygiene EMEA.

The addition of soap and sanitizers to the Lotus Professional sales portfolio is a perfect example of putting the Sustainability vision into action. From a social point of view, the complete range of enMotion products responds to the requirement of all organisations in the Away-from-home business market to provide suitable hand washing conveniences for staff and visitors, including a sink, soap, and hand drying facilities. Also, in response to the increasing awareness of cross-contamination triggered by the outbreak of swine flu, the World Health Organisation is recommending thorough hand washing with soap and drying with a single use paper towel or disinfection with an alcohol-based hand rub.  Lotus Professional is the only brand in the Away-From-Home market to deliver all three solutions in one touch-free range. 

From the environmental point of view, the dispenser technology controls the amount of product used at a time, avoiding waste.  From an economic point of view, soap and sanitizer products provide great business opportunity as they share the same distribution channels as hand towels.  The sales team is developing a “soap reflex” whereby the new hand hygiene products become part of every sales call.  End buyers are looking for co-ordinated hand towel and soap dispensers, a requirement that the enMotion range fully meets.

enMotion Antibacterial Foam Soap and enMotion Foam Hand Sanitizer will initially be launched in France, Great Britain, Germany and Austria. Other countries will follow in May.
